Though it seems that watching a 2-hour film maybe an easy task but shooting that same thing takes several years of hard work and vision to pull off such wonderful projects. Earlier directors used to work in studios itself building plain background and further editing that stuff. But now to make the scenes livelier, they go for live locations. Worrying about the budget became a thing of past, when the revenues crossed the club of highest grossing films. The filming locations provided an authenticity.

  • Grand Central Station- Considered to be Manhattan’s largest train platform with people commuting in over 100 trains every day, this is a great option to portray the hustle-bustle in a tense climax. The chandelier over the ceiling, shopping center, architectural pattern, provide an excellent backdrop. The movieswhich were filmed on this location are: “The Avengers”, “Superman-The movie”, “Midnight Run” and “The Cotton Club”.
  • Brooklyn Bridge- There is no way that a director can miss shooting at this 183-year-old bridge. Piles of dollars were spent to build the cantilever bridge with suspensions. The East River connects Manhattan and gives a megalopolitan vibe for a film. Several famous movies were shot here, like: “I Am Legend”, “Godzilla” and “Cloverfield”.
  • Eiffel tower- Film in Paris is incomplete without a shot at the Eiffel tower. Representing the French regime in the most elegant and graceful way, this ancient landmark has been attracting people from all over the world. The view is quite mesmerizing and perfect for a romantic backdrop prop. The movies that were shot at this location are: “Munich”, “French Kiss”, “Rush Hour Trilogy” and “Angel-A”.
